Sally’s kitchen is a great balance of style and practicality. The long concrete benchtop was poured onsite and adds a bold contrast to the dark cabinetry. This extra large bench offers ample workspace and the row of generous storage drawers provide enough space for utensils, crockery and pantry items. The black painted marine ply fronts have a lovely grainy texture which sits nicely against the paler tones of the solid Oak flooring. A negative detail above the drawers allows the handle less fronts to be opened via a beveled top edge.
Strip lighting is used at eye level. This helps bounce light around the space. A desk nook means homework or laptop/devices can be accommodated. The addition of pot plants give a welcoming feel to the kitchen and this long narrow room feels spacious and light.
